Doug Kaye, Sub Bottom Profiler Surveyor

First certified as a diver in 1964 and dove many wrecks in the great lakes.

I worked as a commercial diver for 2 years mostly in Lake Ontario.

I was a member of the Great Lakes Historical Society and wrote a couple of articles in their magazine based on research I had done regarding some wrecks in Georgian Bay.

I learned the value of research and how to go about doing it, and I enjoyed doing it.
Then… I decided cold water was not for me and started looking south… The Bahamas… Florida Keys… Kokomo… Discovered Mel Fisher in Key West.
I bought my first metal detector in 1985 and got hooked on treasure hunting.
One day while searching the beach at "The Cabin" site I met Greg Bounds and we became instant friends. We have both learned a great deal from each other over the years and we both anticipate a positive future in this adventure called treasure hunting.

Greg Bounds is highly technically oriented, so am I. We have discussed many new and innovative methods of searching and detecting shipwreck material. We have acquired high tech hardware and software programs that greatly enhance our ability to recover underwater artifacts and treasure.
