Treasure Hunter for the Day

Come Join The Adventure!
Ever dream of discovering sunken treasure? Now’s your chance with Gold Hound Treasure Divers. Search with our crew for the 1715 Fleet mother lode! Or, just come along for the ride.
The Treasure:
More than $700 million in gold, silver coins, jewels, rare artifacts and more, still not recovered from Spanish galleons sunk off the east coast of Florida in a hurricane in 1715, now known as the 1715 Fleet. We know the majority of the ships’ locations (off the town of Sebastian). We continue to search for their sunken treasures.
The Voyage of Discovery:
For the first time ever in modern day history, the average scuba diver can partake in this unprecedented opportunity to hunt for sunken treasures from a major shipwreck find. “Treasure hunters” can dive for the day, or the season, which lasts from late March till early September.
Your Captain & Crew:
Captain Greg Bounds has been in the sunken treasure salvage business for over 14 years, having worked some of the most renowned shipwreck discoveries in modern history including the Nuestra Senora de Atocha and the Santa Margarita. He has consistently located treasure from the 1715 Fleet for the last decade. Captain Bounds serves as a sub-contractor to Mel Fisher Center, Inc., namesake operation of Mel Fisher, the legendary and most successful sunken treasure hunter ever. The Captain is joined by experienced crew/salvagers Chas Francoviglia and Tony Gil who collectively have more than a dozen years of salvaging experience.
Shipmate Requirements:
Divers must be certified. Observers are welcome. Treasure hunts are semi-private with no more than two visiting divers in the water at any given time. Treasure hunters must turn in any recoveries for submission to the State of Florida, but can have those findings earmarked for first dibs on later purchase. Note: This is not a party boat, but a serious and diligent effort to locate treasure.
Price:
$299 for divers. $149 for observers. Divers are provided two tanks and a metal detector. Lunch, snacks and beverages are provided to all participants. Treasure hunts commence weather permitting.
Port of Call:
M/V Gold Hound is located on the dock at Captain Hiram’s in beautiful Sebastian, Florida, approximately 50 miles north of West Palm Beach and 65 miles southeast of Orlando. Captain Hiram’s is situated at 1580 US Highway 1.
